Ramsgate man arrested for Class A drugs after police raid

A 31-year-old has been arrested after a police raid found suspected Class A drugs in a car and a property in Ramsgate.

Thanet police officers carried out a stop-check on a car in Fairfield Road, Broadstairs, just after 11am on Thursday morning.

Inside the vehicle they found a quantity of a powder they believed to be cocaine, as well as mobile phones they suspected were being used for drug activity.

Later that day, police searched a property in Ramsgate where they seized five bags of suspected Class A drugs.

A 31-year-old man from Ramsgate was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

He has now been released, pending further enquiries.
