Ramsgate: Two men from Bedfordshire charged after VW camper van stolen from Norman Road

Two Bedfordshire men have appeared in court charged with the theft of a VW camper van in Ramsgate.

The camper van was reported stolen from Norman Road in the early hours of Saturday, February 17 and was later recovered in Ebbsfleet Lane, Ramsgate.

Later that day two men were arrested in Birchington.

Craig Armstrong, aged 42, of Slapton Road, Little Billingham, Leighton Buzzard, was charged with theft of a vehicle, theft from a vehicle and driving with no insurance and without a licence.

Tomasz Orzechowski, aged 41, of Grove Road, Luton, was charged with theft of a vehicle and theft from a vehicle.

Both men appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court via virtual court yesterday.

Craig Armstrong was remanded in custody to appear at Thanet Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 27.

Tomasz Orzechowski was bailed to appear at Thanet Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 1.
