Family on mission to find Tamworth boar Albert who was staying at Nash Court Farm

A family are on a mission to find their missing boar Albert after being left heartbroken when he wasn't at the farm they had moved him to.

Two-year-old Albert was moved to Nash Court Farm, Margate, nearly a year ago when Milly Stannard was told by Canterbury city council that she could no longer keep him.

Milly, of Littlebourne, said: "It was agreed that was his forever home.

"I'd had him for about a year and the Canterbury council told me I had to rehome him as I'm a council tenant.

"On Saturday my partner and daughter went to visit him like they normally do when they go down Thanet, they got to Nash Court Farm to be told he's no longer there and has moved to another yard in Ashford with someone who used to use Nash court farm."

The mum of three has had no luck finding him, and says her children are heartbroken and just want to know if he's okay.

Although Milly gave up ownership of Albert when he moved to Nash Court Farm, the family would like to track him down to be able to visit him.

She said: "To you he may be just a pig but to us he was part of the family and only had to be rehomed because Canterbury council wouldn't let us keep him.

"I now have extremely upset children as they can no longer visit Albert like they were originally told they could."

With more than 200 shares on Facebook already, Milly is hoping the power of social media will re-unite the family with Albert.
