Police appeal after officer attacked in a graveyard in Ramsgate

Kent Police is continuing to appeal for witnesses following the assault of a police officer who was on duty in Ramsgate last Friday.

The officer was reported to have been knocked unconscious after being assaulted by a group of people in a graveyard in St Lawrence Chase, at about 9.45pm.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and was discharged the following morning. He is now recovering at home.

At this time no arrests have been made.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the St Lawrence area on Friday, February 2 between 8pm and 11pm.
