A teenage girl suffered injuries amid reports she had been hit by a car in Ramsgate late last night.

The 15-year-old was said to have been struck in Hollicondane Road, at the junction with St Luke’s Avenue, at just after midnight.

Police were called to the scene and are investigating the circumstances of the incident.

The girl's injuries are not thought to be serious. She was treated at a local hospital.
