Ramsgate: Woman finds intruder in her bedroom during attempted burglary

Police are hunting a man who was discovered in a woman's bedroom during an attempted burglary.

The incident happened at 5.45pm yesterday at a flat in Packers Lane, Ramsgate.

The man left empty-handed after he was challenged by the occupant in the house.

Police believe the man may have gained access through an insecure door in the home.

Investigating officer acting Detective Sergeant Richard Allen said: "The intruder is described as being white and in his 30s, between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8in tall and of a slim to medium build.

"He had short, light-coloured hair and was wearing a white top with blue horizontal stripes and grey jogging bottoms."
