Broadstairs Cricket Club lose in semi-finals at the ECB Indoor Cricket Championships at Lords

Former winners Broadstairs bowed out of the ECB Indoor Championships at the semi-final stage losing by 19 runs against Bridgwater at Lord's on Sunday.

The Somerset side, twice winners themselves, batted first scoring 147-5, with the Thanet club - who were champions in 1997 - dismissed for 128.

Jake Benfield was Broadstairs' best bowler with 1-25 in his three overs, while Andrew Bailey registered a well-struck 40 before being out in the penultimate over.

Bridgwater went on to lose in the final to Yorkshire side Dearne by five runs.
