Margate face a series of tough away games in the first month of the Isthmian Premier season.

After starting at home to Whitehawk on August 12, Gate go to a Hornchurch side whose new boss Steve Morison was managing in the Championship with Cardiff City last season.

That’s followed by a trip to Concord Rangers, just down from National League South, while the August Bank Holiday Monday takes them to Kent rivals Folkestone.

Gate are at Cray Wanderers on Boxing Day, travel to Cheshunt on December 30 and welcome Folkestone back to Hartsdown Park on New Year’s Day.

The season finishes at Billericay on April 27.
