Police call for witnesses after driver dies in crash on London Road, Hildenborough

Police are appealing for information after a man died in a crash in Hildenborough this morning.

A Jeep Cherokee and a Ford Focus collided around 7.20am in London Road, the B245, between Morleys roundabout and Mill Lane.

An air ambulance was called to the scene but the driver of the Focus, a 55-year-old man from Tonbridge, was pronounced dead. His next of kin have been informed.

The crash happened near the busy A21, which runs between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, and caused long delays in the area.

A road closure was in place until about 12.45pm while officers investigated the cause of the collision.
