Tonbridge biker killed in crash in Eridge Green, East Sussex

A 24-year-old motorcyclist from Tonbridge has died following a crash.

The rider was initially taken to Kings College Hospital in London after the accident yesterday evening at around 10.10pm.

However, the man sadly later died in hospital.

His black Sinnis Apachi motorcycle was involved in a collision with a blue Ford Ka on the A26 Eridge Road at the junction with Groombridge Lane in Eridge Green.

A 24-year-old woman from Crowborough has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She remains in custody while police investigate.

Sussex Police have launched an appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has any dashcam footage to make contact with them.

The victim's next of kin have been informed.
