Drink-drive Metropolitan Police officer Louise Wilson in misconduct hearing

A police officer who was convicted of drink-driving is facing dismissal today as she appears before a Public Misconduct Hearing.

Louise Wilson, 36, from Hildenborough, who is an officer with the Metropolitan Police, pleaded guilty to driving while more than three times the legal alcohol limit at a hearing at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court in August.

Today, Wilson, of Mount Pleasant, faces accusations of breaching the standards of professional behaviour in relation to discreditable conduct.

This accusation is related to the drink-drive arrest, which happened in Tonbridge Road, Hildenborough, in July, when she was off duty.

A Met Police spokesman said: "Such conduct falls significantly below what is expected of police officers and is a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, relating to Discreditable Conduct.

"PC Wilson's conduct amounts to gross misconduct. The breaches are considered to be so serious as to justify dismissal."

The results of the hearing, taking place in London, are expected to be published tomorrow morning at the latest.

Wilson had 111 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

She was disqualified from driving for 24 months and told to pay £85. A community order was put in place for 12 months.
