Detectives investigating an attempted robbery have arrested and charged a man.
Police responded to reports of an incident in The Ridgeway, Tonbridge, and arrested 34-year-old Kerry Hollens in Whitelake Road on Friday, September 29.
He was charged with attempted robbery, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty, criminal damage to a police station cell and breaching his criminal behaviour order.
Hollens was taken before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, October 30.
