Suspected drug-driver arrested after car spotted speeding in Hadlow Road, Tonbridge

A suspected drug-driver has been arrested after police pulled over a car breaking the speed limit.

Police stopped a vehicle in Hadlow Road, near Tonbridge town centre, shortly before midday on Saturday (February 24).

Officers, who were carrying out speed checks at the time, suspected the car to be travelling over the limit and so requested it stop.

A spokesman for the force said: "A 31-year-old man was arrested at 11.40am on Saturday on suspicion of possessing cannabis and driving while under the influence of drugs.

"He was later bailed, pending further enquires, until May 15."
