Tonbridge Angels boss Steve McKimm admits the players are getting their rewards in the Ryman Premier Division

Steve McKimm says the next month could make-or-break Tonbridge’s season.

However, the Angels boss rates just being involved in the race for the Ryman League, Premier Division play-offs a remarkable achievement.

Tonbridge’s pre-season aspirations centred around improving on last season’s 20th-place finish but sit fifth in the table, five points behind leaders Dulwich with three games in hand.

They host Hampton and travel to third-placed East Thurrock before Easter, which McKimm believes will be the perfect time to assess their chances.

He said: “It is a big month and might be make-or-break time for us. But if – and it’s a big if – we don’t make it, we will give it another go next season.

“We have achieved more than we did last season, which was our main aim at the start.

“Being in the play-offs is remarkable but these are the games you want to be involved in.

“The players deserve to be where they are because of their desire and application.

“They are getting their rewards, scoring goals and keeping clean sheets.”

Sonny Miles (ankle), James Folkes (back) and Bradley Woods-Garness (leg) are all expected to be available against Staines at Longmead on Saturday.
