Tunbridge Wells: Alleged drug dealers due at Maidstone Crown Court

Two men arrested in separate drugs-related incidents in Tunbridge Wells are due at Maidstone Crown Court over the next week.

Ricardo Powell, 32, was stopped by police in John Street on February 10, after it was reported to have been seen reversing without lights.

Subsequent checks of the vehicle and a nearby property led to the recovery of 753g of herbal cannabis.

The St James Road resident was charged with possession with intent to supply of class B drugs.

He is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court next week.

In an unrelated case, a 20-year-old from London is set to answer to charges relating to the sale of heroin and cocaine tomorrow.

Paul Egbujor was arrested after police executed a search warrant at a property in Cobbetts Ride on August 30.

Quantities of substances believed to be heroin and crack cocaine were seized.

The Belvedere man was arrested and charged with possessing heroin with intent to supply and possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply.

He will also face a charge of possessing cannabis when he appears at Maidstone Crown Court tomorrow.

Earlier today, a police van was sent to Eridge Road in the town, and a 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug.

He remains in police custody.
