Appeal to find owner of gates stolen in Lamberburst and found in Matfield, Tunbridge Wells area.

Police want the public’s help to reunite a set of stolen gates with their owner.

Officers from the Tunbridge Wells Community Policing Team had on Monday last week recovered a reportedly stolen trailer.

It had been taken in Lamberhurst, Tunbridge Wells, on March 3.

The wooden gates were found inside the IFOR Williams trailer in Matfield and officers are working to try and identify where they came from.

Sgt David Higham said: ‘We have arrested one male for the theft of the trailer and he has been bailed pending further enquiries.

‘We haven’t received any reports of stolen gates so we are working to try and find the owners so they can be returned.”
