Joe's Academy of Music, in St John's Road, Tunbridge Wells, records festive mash up featuring covers of Miley Cyrus and Rage Against The Machine

Miley Cyrus and Rage Against the Machine seem worlds apart but performers from a Tunbridge Wells singing school have found a way of combining the two.

Over 20 children from the Joe’s Academy of Music, in St John's Road, have put together a festive mash-up of two of the chart topper’s popular songs – Killing in the Name and The Climb.

The singers are aged seven to 17 and had their work recorded by independent record label 21 Gigawatts.

Joe Kaye, of JAM, said: “We set out to make an anarchic heavy metal Christmas single.

“We went for an accompanying video in the spirit of Wizzard’s ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day’, as delivered on Top Of The Pops, in a classic over-the-top performance.

"We set out to break the rules but ended up ticking all the boxes of Christmas number ones over the last 20 years!”
