High Brooms Station rape suspect arrested

Police have arrested a suspected rapist.

It was reported that a woman was approached by a stranger after exiting High Brooms train station in Tunbridge Wells.

He is alleged to have made advances towards the victim and followed her on foot, before assaulting her inside a property.

The attack happened around 12.30am on Saturday, September 16.

Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate arrested a man in Belvedere, Greater London, yesterday, Wednesday.

The 32-year-old was later granted conditional bail, pending further inquiries.

He will be required to return to a police station on December 19.
