Pembury woman suffers head injury in fall

A woman was flown to hospital after suffering a head injury during a fall in Pembury.

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was alerted to the accident shortly before 3pm yesterday and were at the scene within 20 minutes.

The woman also suffered an injury to her chest and was flown to King’s College Hospital in London.

Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service were already at the scene seeing to the woman.

The pilot of the helicopter landed in a nearby park and she was treated before being airlifted to the capital.
