Duncan McLeod of Cranbrook road, Hawkhurst, charged with drink driving after overturned van rescue

A 20-year-old man has been charged with drink-driving after his van overturned in Staplehurst.

Duncan McLeod, of Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst, was trapped in his flatbed following the crash. He was rescued via the roof flap by firefighters using heavy lifting equipment in the early hours of Saturday, January 2.

He was arrested at the scene and hospitalised with minor injuries.

McLeod will appear before Maidstone magistrates on Tuesday, May 10.
