Horse died after collision in Hawkhurst

People on social media are trying to track down the owner of an injured horse following a crash over the weekend.

Another horse was killed in the accident involving a car and the two loose animals which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Facebook users are trying to track down the owner to the horse - in a post which has been shared over 500 times.

The incident happened at around 12.30am on Delmonden Lane, Hawkhurst.

Police and paramedics attended the scene after receiving reports that three horses were running on the road that links Hawkhurst to Flimwell, East Sussex, around half a mile away from the turn off for the A21.

One horse was found deceased in the road with a vehicle and a horse standing beside it.

Paramedics attended the scene, treating one woman for arm injuries before transporting her to the Tunbridge Wells Hospital for further treatment.
