A tractor driver was airlifted to hospital with severe head injuries after he fell from his cab.

The victim is believed to have fallen from his vehicle in North Street, Goudhurst, as he approached a school bus at speed.

Police, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to the scene shortly before 5pm yesterday.

He was flown to St George's Hospital in Tooting, London, with non-life threatening head, back and rib injuries.

North Road was reopened at 6.40pm.
