Two days of family fun will be on offer at the 220th Whitstable Regatta this weekend.

Billed as the oldest sea regatta in the world, visitors will be able to watch events on the water including historic and current sailboat displays and races and a lifeboat rescue demonstration.

There will also be a host of entertainment on and around Tankerton Slopes including live music, a dog show, medieval re-enactments and an aerobatic wing walking display.

Visitors can browse a wide range of stalls and sideshows and there will be a traditional fairground for all ages to enjoy.

Events will be brought to a close at 9.30pm on the first evening with a grand firework display out at sea.

Whitstable Regatta is taking place from 11am on Saturday, August 10 and from 10.30am on Sunday, August 11. Admission is free.
