List of farmers’ markets open to visitors across Kent this weekend

Foodie fans looking for a fix this weekend can head down to one of Kent’s many farmers’ markets, taking place all over the county.

Hungry ticket-holders will likely be disappointed that the inaugural Medway Food and Drink Festival, which was due to take place from Friday, September 16 to Sunday, September 18, has been put on hold as the nation mourns the death of the Queen.

The festival was to be held at Rochester Castle Gardens, now home to a floral tribute garden to commemorate the passing of the monarch until the day after Her Majesty’s funeral.

However, it seems that the Rochester Farmers' Market, which was due to coincide with the festival on Sunday, September 18 from 9am to 1pm, is still set to go ahead at Blue Boar Lane car park.

If you still fancy getting your hands on something tasty over the weekend, it might be worth popping down to the market and bagging yourself a treat, with traders selling everything from organic fruits and vegetables to specialty cheeses and chutneys.

There are also an additional 14 farmers’ markets taking place up and down the county for hungry visitors.
