Margate: Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells band Slaves to play Dreamland

Punk two-piece Slaves will play a one-off gig at Dreamland this weekend.

The Margate attraction and By The Sea announced the date on Saturday July 22, and it sold out in a few weeks.

The pair, former Oakwood Park pupil Laurie Vincent, from Maidstone, and former Hugh Christie pupil Isaac Holman from Southborough, played a DJ set at the Margate site last
September.

They released Take Control last autumn, and will play Margate amid a busy run of festival dates.

The By The Sea Festival will then return to Dreamland on Friday September 29 and Saturday September 30, with The Libertines among the headliners.

Rebecca Ellis from Dreamland said: “It’s a brilliant year for music in Margate, and we are confident that our diverse range of live gigs and festivals will deliver for the music crowd.”

In June, the attraction played host to the massive Gorillaz one-day festival Dream Dayz.
