On arrival, officers saw damage had been caused to a door and a window. As they entered, they found it had been ransacked.

Jayden Holman, 20, of no fixed address, was arrested soon after and later charged with burglary with intent to steal.

He is also charged with burglary of alcohol and cash from a business in Sea Wall, Whitstable on Sunday, and attempted theft of a bicycle, going equipped for theft, and possession of a blade in public, all in Canterbury, last Wednesday.

Holman was remanded to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today.
