Custody limits for terror suspects stopped in Dover extended

Detectives have been granted more time to question two people arrested in Kent on suspicion of terrorism offences.

The man and woman - aged 32 and 31 respectively - were arrested in Dover last Saturday and continue to be held in the West Midlands under terrorism legislation.

The man was arrested on suspicion of preparing to commit terrorism offences and funding/supporting terrorism.

The woman was brought in on suspicion of preparing to commit terrorism offences.

West Midlands Police say they have been given a six-day extension so detectives can now hold the suspects until this Saturday.
