Gravesend McDonald's stabbing sparks police search

A search has been launched for a balaclava-wearing man after a teenager was stabbed at a town centre McDonald's.

The 19-year-old victim, who is also thought to have had a substance thrown at him, was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries following the attack at a branch of the fast food chain in Gravesend.

Officers were called to the scene just after 11pm on Friday, December 20, following the incident in New Road.

An 18-year-old man from Dartford was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, before being released under investigation.

Now police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify.

He was wearing a pair of tight-fitting navy blue and grey trousers that had AIR emblazoned on the side.

The victim has since been discharged from hospital.
