Thousands more people are tuning into Kent's radio station kmfm every week, official figures out today reveal.

The station - which plays Kent's biggest hits - added 21,500 listeners over the last quarter, according to industry body Rajar.

It means a total of more than 170,000 adults across the county are now listening each week.

The biggest increase was among 15 to 44-year-olds, with audience figures up by more than a quarter in this category.

The figures come on the back of a series of high-profile promotions, including The Kent Sound and Three Grand in The Sand.
