Images captured today by Harry Rowe near Staplehurst, outside Maidstone, show drivers and cyclists picking their way across New Barn Road which was left underwater.

Aerial images taken over the Charthill Road area also show fields submerged.

Yesterday, numerous roads were closed as villages around Maidstone were hit by flooding.

Today, the B2162 Hampstead Lane in Yalding is shut between B2015 Maidstone Road and Station Road.

Water Lane in Bearsted is also closed in both directions, between The Street and Pilgrims Way.
