Teenage biker still in hospital after crashing on A229 Blue Bell Hill, Maidstone

A teenage motorcyclist remains in hospital after his bike crashed into a chalk bank near Maidstone.

Police and paramedics were called to the slip road for Aylesford from the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A229 Blue Bell Hill at around 2pm on Tuesday.

The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old man from the Maidstone area, was taken to a London hospital by air ambulance where he remains in a serious condition.

The road was closed for around four hours following the incident.

Officers are working out what happened and are urging anyone who saw the black Yamaha in the moments leading up to the crash, or who have dash cam footage from the area around the time, to contact them.
