Angry residents have taken to social media after rubbish dumped on a farm was found with a name and address left on some of the discarded items.

A large amount of cardboard, a baby stroller and other household waste was flytipped in Spout Lane near Horsmonden.

Images shared by a resident show a name and an address, in Bearsted, Maidstone, on some of the rubbish in what appears to be packaging for kitchen appliances.

It is not known who left the waste.

Householders who contract someone to dispose of rubbish are still responsible for its correct disposal.

Duncan Morris on the Hormonden Facebook site said:

"The person named on the packing may well not know a thing about what was done with the rubbish and could well be quite innocent even though it’s still rubbish somehow connected to him."

Another, Màdeleine Cook, posted: "I live down here and this is disgraceful."
