Delays on Dartford Crossing approach due to overturned lorry and fuel spillage

An overturned lorry and fuel spillage is causing congestion near the Dartford Crossing.

Traffic is slow and the A206 Bob Dunn Way westbound is partially blocked following the incident.

It happened at Joyce Green Lane, but was originally thought to be near the M25.

Police spokesman Martin Very said: "We were called at around 1.50pm regarding a report that a lorry had overturned on the A206 Bob Dunn Way at Dartford.

"Officers, highways officers and Kent Fire and Rescue Service are currently at the scene where the road has been closed to allow recovery of the vehicle."

The road has since reopened but has been reduced to one lane.
