A motorway slip road has been closed for emergency repairs after a lorry fire broke out.

Four fire engines and a bulk water carrier were sent to the scene where smoke was seen billowing out.

No injuries were reported but drivers experienced delays while crews worked to get the flame under control.

The fire has since been extinguished but now the road has been closed for surface repairs.

Motorists are being told to expect delays.
