A lamb was also reported to have been stolen from the same field on Friday, March 27.

The injuries sustained by the ewe led officers to believe that the animal had been killed deliberately.

At around midnight on Monday, April 6 officers arrested a woman aged in her 30s in Bean Lane, Greenhithe, on suspicion of motoring offences and offences relating to the ewe.

The woman, who is from Bean, has been released pending further enquiries.
