Driver released after dramatic crash in Dover

A driver who was involved in a three-vehicle crash that resulted in two cars and a building damaged in Dover has been released under investigation.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested following the crash on Friday, which also saw a pedestrian narrowly escape serious injury.

Police, fire crews and paramedics attended the scene in London Road, which was temporarily closed from the junction of Beaconsfield Road following the accident.

Two cars with extensive damage were transported away, while a parked van was also damaged after being shunted towards the pedestrian and into a wall.

The boy, from Dover, was arrested on suspicion of theft, aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving and driving without insurance.

There were no reported injuries at the scene.
