Where to watch the World Cup in Kent on the big screen

England made history earlier this week as an unbelievable penalty shootout set pulses racing across the nation.

In Kent, we saw everything from a brawl in a popular pub, to a crowdsurfing bike ride like no other - proving that the county really knows how to celebrate a World Cup win.

Here's our pick of where to see this Saturday's game, as the team battle Sweden for a place in the semi-finals:

1 The Kent County Show, Maidstone

If you fancy combining your love of both cattle and football, the Kent County Show could be the perfect place to catch the game.

Organisers have been working tirelessly to create five fan zones across the showground, where guests can watch the action on the big screen.

And, if you've already got tickets, this option really is the best of both worlds.

Screens will be in place within the show's woodland area, main gate bar, Cornwallis room, members area and the bar near the show office.

All other activities will continue as planned - for more information click here

However, organisers have heard the concerns of football fans, and will be showing this Saturday's game.

You can catch the match on the pub's TVs, or watch it on a large projector upstairs.

Tickets for the festival, which will run between 1pm and 10pm, are £10 in advance and £15 on the door.

While this may look like your average pub, there were brilliant scenes outside The Goose on Tuesday as England beat Colombia.
