Canterbury City Council spends £23 million on council homes

Canterbury Council are spending £23 million to help house residents desperate for a place to live.More than 2,400 families are on the district's waiting list for housing but now more than 60 new council homes will become available to them.It comes after the Council bought 44 student accommodation buildings in the city but there is a long way to go to meet the demand.
