Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirm bungalow fire in Hermitage Lane, Aylesford, appears to have been deliberate

A blaze which ripped through a derelict bungalow is being treated as deliberate.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the property, which has stood abandoned on the corner of London Road and Hermitage Lane for more than 10 years, on Sunday night.

Two crews spent more than three hours tackling the flames, leaving the scene at around 3am.

Today the emergency service confirmed the fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

Kent Police have not yet confirmed whether inquiries are ongoing.
