Kent Fire and Rescue called to house blaze off Sutton Road in Langley, Maidstone

Firefighters were called to a house blaze in a Kent village this afternoon.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a bedroom fire at a house off Sutton Road, in Langley, near Maidstone.

Four fire engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames.

Paramedics were also called. One person was checked over for suspected smoke inhalation.

The Kent Fire and Rescue volunteer response team also attended to offer advice and support to the affected residents.

A spokesman for the fire service said the cause of the fire is not yet known.
