A Kent man who bared all on TV show Naked Attraction in the hope of finding love has described it as a "magic" experience.

A clip of Brian Chau Rodriguez, 23, from Maidstone, went viral last week after he became the first contestant to walk off the set having been overwhelmed after seeing six naked women.

The episode aired last night and Brian, a trained wine connoisseur who had no luck in the dating game before he went on the show, said: "It was the moment the screens were lifted, it was a euphoric moment. It's a moment where I grew up.

"I had never seen a vagina before. I was curious to find out what it looked like. I showed my true emotions."

After taking time off the set Brian composed himself and returned.

For those who have not seen the Channel 4 series, contestants whittle down six potential love interests, based solely on naked attraction.

The naked hopefuls stand in booths and their bodies are gradually revealed to the contestant using screens.

After eliminating those in the group, one by one, the contestant finally decides who they want to take on a date. Shedding their clothes as well, they then properly meet their chosen date.

Brian went on a date with a lady called Georgie and although she didn't want to pursue a romantic relationship, they remain friends.

This wasn't Brian's first foray into the world of TV dating, in February he appeared in ITV's Dress to Impress, competing against two other men in a shopping challenge in the hope of winning a date.

As a child he appeared on a Christmas edition of Basil Brush, perhaps explaining why he is so comfortable on the screen.

He even offered up £50 to anyone who could help him track down the lost episode and spent years searching for it, before the BBC found a VHS tape.

Speaking about why he appeared on Naked Attraction, Brian said he wanted to do something out of his comfort zone and experience a side of himself he had never seen before.

While many might have been anxious at the thought of appearing naked on national TV, Brian says he felt excited in the run up to the show.

"I felt relieved that I was just going to kick off all of the tension and I was just going to be free and feel open. I was excited to find love," he said.

Speaking to show host Anna Richardson, Brian revealed: "I’ve always had this picture in my head of the ideal woman but she’s never arrived."

However, appearing on Naked Attraction has "broadened" his mind to all the different types of women out there.

"Perhaps some of the wine experts will fall off their feet but never mind."

Brian is a contributor for Taste Kent, a website which celebrates the best of Kent’s food and drink scene.

He studied at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and according to the Taste Kent website, he's currently working towards the WSET Level 3 in wines.

When asked how fellow wine experts will react to his appearance on Naked Attraction, Brian said: "Perhaps some of the wine experts will fall off their feet but never mind. It has been a euphoric experience and magic."
