Police were called at 4.19pm to a report of a collision involving two cars.

At the time, a spokesperson from the force said: “Officers are at the scene and no injuries are believed to have been reported.

“Traffic is heaver in the area due to the incident. Motorists should avoid it if they can.”

Arriva posted a message on X, formerly known as Twitter, advising customers that bus Service 89 had been affected.

It said: “Due to an RTC at Linton Corner we are currently unable to turn right onto Heath Road and serve Coxheath as the accident is blocking the turning onto Heath Road.

“Apologies for this currently – this is beyond our control.”

At around 6pm, the accident was cleared and the road reopened. Arriva confirmed that bus services had resumed in the area.

The emergency services have been contacted for more information.
