Audi driver who died on M20 between Aylesford and West Malling named

An Audi driver who died after a multi-vehicle crash on the M20 has been named.

Stellios Stylianou, 57, suffered a severe head injury following a collision involving his Audi, an HGV and a Peugeot at around 6pm on Thursday, December 22.

An inquest opening heard how his car became trapped under the lorry, which had stopped because of an earlier crash, on the London-bound carriageway between Aylesford and West Malling.

Mr Stylianou, of Fairfield Road, Borough Green, near Sevenoaks, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which happened close to Junction 4 for New Hythe.

He was identified by PC Oliver Jones who found his driving licence.

The motorway was shut for 12 hours as a result of the fatal incident.

The inquest was adjourned to be heard in full on Monday, July 10.

Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is carrying out inquiries.
