Appeal after spate of burglaries in Shellness Road, Leysdown

Police want to know more about a number of burglaries in Leysdown where a generator, fishing rod and antiques were taken.

Between Friday, February 1, and Sunday, May 26, six burglaries were reported in holiday homes in Shellness Road.

Among the items taken were a Coleman 850 generator, a fishing rod, torches, lamps and two antique Tonka toys.

Investigating officer, PC Hannah Cooper, said: "We are carrying out a number of enquiries and at present have not been able to identify any suspects.

"We are keeping an open mind as to whether the same offenders are responsible for all the incidents."
