Kent Police release picture of thief after Nixon Avenue, Ramsgate, burglary

A safe containing jewellery, wedding certificates and passports was stolen during a break-in at a Kent home.

Detectives have released a computer-generated image of the burglar as part of their investigation into the raid in Nixon Avenue, Ramsgate, last month.

They say the thief targeted the Thanet property between 7.50am and 8.05am, gaining entry through its front door.

A police spokesman said: "A safe which contained family jewellery and paperwork, including wedding certificates and passports, was stolen.

"The offender is believed to have left on foot."

Officers are urging anyone who recognises the person in the picture or who has information about the incident to call them on 101, quoting the reference number 46/240690/21, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
