Man charged after woman hit by car in Liptraps Lane, Tunbridge Wells

A man has been charged after a woman was hit by a car in Tunbridge Wells , requiring hospital treatment.

At around 11.30pm on Friday, a car collided with a woman in Liptraps Lane , following an argument at the scene of a crash.

The victim, in her forties, was taken to hospital for treatment for leg injuries and has since been discharged.

Lee Daley, 31, from Lamberhurst, was arrested on Sunday and later charged with attempted wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and with dangerous driving.

He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on yesterday and was remanded in custody.

His next hearing is scheduled at Maidstone Crown Court, in November.

Investigating officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
