It took place between Tattlebury and the Gardiner of England Distribution centre.

Police were called at 8.34am to a report that a lorry had left the carriageway on the A274.

Officers are currently at the scene and the road has been closed while arrangements are made to remove the load and recover the vehicle.

Motorists are being advised to consider alternative routes until the road is re-opened.

It comes after the Met Office issued a yellow warning for heavy fog, with officials urging drivers to use extra caution on the roads.

Commuters have been warned of slower journey times with delays to bus and train services possible.
