Grab the popcorn and enjoy a half price trip to the cinema this weekend.

Showcase Cinemas - who own the Cinema de Lux at Bluewater in Greenhithe - is offering 50% off tickets, food and drink on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2.

The Insider Weekend event is exclusive to members of Showcase Insider, the cinema group’s loyalty programme.

The programme is free to sign up to and has no ongoing fees, but will allow members, including new members, to book half price tickets at nationwide locations this weekend.

Bluewater is the only Kent location, but the cinema has 17 screens showing films from 10am to 11pm on Saturday and 10am to 10:35pm on Sunday, so there are plenty of chances to book tickets.

Signing up to Showcase Insider for the first ever Insider weekend will also give you the chance to save 50% on selected food and drink. This includes soft dispensed drinks, Icee drinks, popcorn, hot dogs, nachos and sweet and chocolate pouches.
