Suspect in stabbing case at Headcorn Station released on bail

A man who was arrested following an alleged stabbing at Headcorn Station yesterday has been released on police bail.

The 35-year-old man from Maidstone who was arrested on suspicion of assault has been bailed until September 20.

The arrest followed a fracas which began at the car wash in Station Approach at 8.40am and spilled over into the station, where a man reportedly entered the booking hall with a pair of scissors stuck in his head.

The victim was flown by air ambulance to a London hospital where his condition is said to be serious but stable.
