She says the man – who was with a woman and child – branded her “inconsiderate” prior to gobbing on the passenger-side window and kicking the vehicles bumper so hard the motor shook.

Her husband told KentOnline: “She had received an important call from the doctor and pulled over.

“This guy was going to cross the road and because he was going to walk round her, he went to up to the car window and shouted at her.

“He called her an ‘inconsiderate ****’, then walked to the back of the car and kicked it so hard that it left a dent and walked back round to the driver’s side and spat at the car window. It’s disgusting.”

The victim parked up at the junction to take a call from her GP, while she was en-route to pick up her child from Westmeads Community Infant School that afternoon.

“She was absolutely distraught and upset...”

The married pair, both 45, reported the incident to police later the same day.

Her other half says his partner, whom he has been with for the last 12 years, has been left traumatised by what happened.

“She was absolutely distraught and upset,” he continued.

“She wasn’t obstructive in any way and she’s a very soft-natured woman.

“He made her feel fearful. She didn’t know him at all and he did it out of the blue – then walked away as if nothing happened.”

Police have launched an investigation into the incident. They are urging anyone with information to call them on 01843 222289, quoting the reference number 10-1372.
